Lebenslauf

Seit August 2010 ist Daniel Guagnin wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am ZTG, wo er zum Problemfeld Privatsphäre im Bereich der Sicherheitstechnologien forscht.

Seinen Magisterabschluss in Soziologie mit den Nebenfächern Informatik, Finanzwissenschaften und Politik hat er an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg erworben. In seiner Magisterarbeit analysierte er die Verwendung quelloffener Software in der wissenschaftlichen Informatik unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Zugangs zu Wissen und zugrunde liegender sozio-technischer Infrastrukturen.

Bevor er ans ZTG kam, arbeitete Daniel Guagnin als Software-Entwickler und studentischer Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer Institut für Rechnerarchitektur und Softwaretechnik (FIRST) in verschiedenen Projekten zu Ambient Assisted Living und Open Source. Seine aktuellen Forschungsinteressen sind Internet Governance und Netzpolitik, Privatsphäre und Datenschutz sowie Intellectual Property Rights, Commons und Peer Production.
